Duane O. Bentzen; Founder, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Bentzen has worked on numerous and varied projects with an impressive 30 years of experience. He began his career working for Hughes Aircraft in 1979, subsequently moved to Computer Sciences Corporation where he worked on missile systems and radar defense systems for the F-14 and EA-6 aircraft.  He then moved to System Development Corporation, now Unisys working on FAA weather databases and air traffic control systems for the country of Argentina. 

He moved on to found his own company which for ten years sold and serviced database software for the trustee industry. He worked for over five years as a senior systems analyst and consultant managing a development team for Millennium Business Solutions Group, one of the top ten consulting firms in Southern California.  Prior to his position as CIO of InstaPayment, he was CTO and CIO of a major southern California home renovation products distributor.

He is our database expert, a Microsoft certified SQL DBA,  now working in the open source environment with MySQL and Java with knowledge of Oracle, DB2, Microsoft Access,  PostgreSQL, FileMaker and Sybase.  His portfolio at InstaPayment includes early development of programming systems and web sites for our foundation and integration of our school program and payment systems. 

He heads the Point of Sale development effort, building embedded Linux/Java systems utilizing Sun Microsystems development tools.
